Today, I’d like to share with you what my mother found on the Stun Gun Gal site. Now, as you know I live on a farm, well my mother lives in the main homestead of the property. When my Daddy built the place he did so with extra thick walls for insulation, then back in the early 70′s they had the blown cellulose insulation added. Not only did it add the insulation R factor, it also added sound proofing to those old walls. With Mom getting up there in age, her hearing isn’t what it use to be.
Long story, short… she found a wireless doorbell from Stun Gun Gal and ordered it. The transmitter runs off one 12 v battery which is included. The receiver requires three “AA” batteries which are NOT included.
She put the wireless doorbell on her backdoor, the receiver on the top nick nack shelf in the kitchen behind the birdhouse. The chimes can be heard throughout the house. My brother nor I have to wait in the cold (zero degree Fahrenheit here in the winter) long now that she has her new Wireless Doorbell from the Stun Gun Gal.

When my girls decided they wanted to begin traveling alone, I furnished each of them with their own Stun Gun Gal Streetwise Stun Gun. With a variety to choose from, I decided on the small SW400 stun gun and a Streetwise Pepper Spray in a cute pink camouflage hostler.
With my preoccupation of self defense non lethal weapons, a person might think I had a fear factor of traveling alone. I do not. I would travel alone regardless. Logical thinking, tells me a woman alone is thought to be easy prey, thus I think of self protection automatically. I am woman, I am not defenseless.
The last thing I want is to be on a fun weekend outing only to find that I am in a dangerous or non desirous situation. The only thing worse would be to be in that situation and not be able to protect myself.
My logical thinking tells me every young girl who begins dating needs to carry pepper spray and upon graduation they need their own personal stun gun for when they have to work late, or get out of a movie late, or … fill in the blank of undesirable situations.

After my gran’s death, I moved into her home back on the family farm. I began getting up early, sitting on the back porch with my morning coffee watching the sun come up above the trees. I have a beautiful back yard with huge pines, fir, and sprawling maples. Some mornings, it looks eerie with the fog laying low. I can watch the deer, foxes, coyotes, and bunnies as they play in the field surrounded by those trees. The draw back to this morning ritual has been “me”. I forget and do not unlock the door. I go out, close the locked door, and sit enjoying my coffee until I need a refill. Finding myself locked out actually makes me laugh. Most mornings, I have my cell phone as I text my friends in the morning giving them a weather and animal report. Sharing about these fine wonderful mornings is a ritual. Then I have to call and wake my night owl daughter to let me in and I watch as she grumbles something about I should know better and stumbles back to her bed.
Guess what? Stun Gun Gal had the answer for me, Thermometer Key Hider. I’m thrilled. Now, I have a thermometer on the porch and a key should I need it. I am getting better about not locking myself out, but on those mornings when I’m not yet awake this is the answer to my daughter’s prayers lol. This fully functional thermometer sides up to reveal the hidden key.

To get to my home, after turning off the main road, you drive for a 1/4 mile to the barn lot. I’ve considered putting in a gate and never got around to it. There is a lot of growth around the entrance to my driveway and at night its very easy to miss the driveway totally.
I did purchase the “Driveway Patrol” from Stun Gun Gal. Recently, I have seen the same product on TV commercials called ‘Drive Way Alert‘. I wanted to placed it at the end of the driveway. This unit only transmits to the receiver 400ft so I moved it closer to the house, yet it gives me enough time to be warned when someone is on the property. It’s hid under bushy stuff yet the transmitter is clear so it can shoot the Infra-red across the driveway to detect the motion of the car. I use rechargeable batteries, 1.9v and 3 C. This unit has a 4.5 v adapter available but not included.
Update: 1/21/2011 The coyotes are setting this bad boy off every run they make through the property. I’m guessing because I’m not actually out there at dusk when it goes off but I do hear the critters when the pack roams by.

Recently, I had to actually stay in a hotel. It bothers me that others have a key to my room which I now consider my sacred space. I do not feel safe in hotels. I have to create a knowing I am safe when having to spend a weekend or even overnight in a hotel. I’m sure the managers would not appreciate my insecurities.
Not to fear, as I have traveling alarm door stops. Simply place one of the alarms behind any door. If an intruder attempts to open the door, the wedge-shaped design will prevent it from opening and activate an alarm, alerting you to the attempted entry. These door stopper alarms come with a movement sensor. If anyone attempts to move the unit the alarm will immediately activate. The down side is the 10 second delay before the movement sensor activates. When traveling, I just toss these lightweight units into my luggage. The on / off switch prevents them from accidentally sounding. This alarm requires two (2) AA batteries that are not included. They measure 6 inches x 1 and seven-eighth inches x 1 and five-eighth inches.
Plus I have my Silver Bullet Small Fry 1000000 Volt Mini Stun Gun Rechargeable. Yes, I realize this isn’t legal in all states, but my personal feeling is “if you break into my hotel room and I consider myself threatened (which breaking into my hotel room will make me feel threatened), I will use this on you.” Then I’ll deal with the illegal form of protection consequence for myself afterward.
Do I advocate illegal use of StunGunGal items? No!

One of my favorite security items is the Safe. People have put money in the ice box for years as a hiding place. There are many Safes that appear as normal objects, yet are secure hiding places for jewelry, cash, or important papers.
StunGunGal offers a diverse array of locking safes, from a ‘Closet Safe Light‘ to a ‘Surge Protector‘ to ‘Clocks‘, ‘Deluxe Locking Book‘, and all types of locking every day items in between.
Financial advisers state you should keep one thousand dollars in small bills on hand at all times for emergencies. These are the types of safes you need to keep your money and other valuables protected.
I’ve used the book, coffee can, and coffee mug safe for years. When traveling I don’t keep all my cash or travelers checks in one spot. I divide it up and use the products from StunGunGal.
Remember to check out the Dansani Water Bottle Safe… phenomenal security at an affordable price.
Diversified Locking Safes a must have for all homes, businesses, and RV’s.

My friends this year for the Holidays received Key Hiders. After I found the Thermometer Key Hider for myself, I saw the Sprinkler Key Hider, and the brown, gray, & charcoal rocks that hid keys.
Each of my daughters and nieces got a Hide A Key rock. Each of my city/suburban friends got a Sprinkler Key Hider.
The sprinkler key hider is an actual sprinkler system head which has been converted into a key hider. It blended so well into their landscape that no one would ever think about a spare key hidden inside.
A Key rocks are a sturdy plastic which resists weather damage. The girls have put these in their gardens, and added other rocks to the area for a miniature rock garden.
The son-in-laws and nephews were not left out, they all received Engine Degreaser Can Safe. Both son in laws live in the small towns, both have garages they leave unlocked (shame on them) and now they have a small safe for their unlocked garages.

Street Wise Pepper Spray is a NON-Lethal weapon and an extremely effective form of defense. Pepper spray enables you to defend yourself while keeping a safe distance from an attacker. A one second burst to the face will cause temporary blindness, choking, coughing, and nausea — bringing an 300 lb. attacker to his knees for up to five minutes. Street Wise Pepper Spray causes the mucous membranes will swell to the point of cutting off all but life support breathing. It causes intense burning and an assailant to be temporarily incapacitated. The active ingredient in Street Wise Pepper Spray is Oleoresin Capsicum (O.C), commonly referred to as Red Pepper….hence, Pepper Spray. Pepper Spray is NOT MACE. Mace is classified as an irritant and is similar to tear gas. Pepper spray is classified as an inflammatory agent and will immediately incapacitate an assailant. One note: Street Wise Pepper Spray (or any Capsaicin spray) will NOT repel bears.
When considering which Pepper Spray is most effective, one must consider the percentage of pepper being used and the heat rating of that pepper (measured in Scoville Heat Units or S. H. U.). All of the Street Wise Pepper Spray from StunGunGal are TWO MILLION S.H.U., which is the highest available. At 17% and two million S.H.U., the Street Wise Pepper Spray is the HOTTEST, most powerful available to general public. The potency of Street Wise Pepper Spray enables it to bring down even the most aggressive assailants. Street Wise Pepper Spray will take down and cause temporary pain to those who may be having a psychotic episode or under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Mace will NOT incapacitate an assailant under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Street Wise Pepper Spray will immobilize a criminal under the influence of drugs or alcohol instantly by causing inflammation of the capillaries of the eyes and skin causing temporary blindness, nausea, breathing difficulties and an intense burning sensation.
Most small canisters of pocket sized Street Wise Pepper Spray contain 20 grams of Pepper Spray (about 3/4 oz). Some of the most popular concealed containers are those which look like a Heart Shaped Perfume container, Lipstick applicators, key chains and even pens. This provides the element of surprise against an attacker. Street Wise Pepper Spray can be easily concealed as one of these everyday items. No one has to know you are carrying a protective self defense product. You can have your disguised Street Wise Pepper Spray product out in the open without anyone knowing it is there. Keep a Street Wise Pepper Spray in your pocket, your car, your purse, your desk, your bathroom, your nightstand, your gym bag, your locker, your car … anywhere you might be alone and vulnerable.
The contents of Street Wise Pepper Spray are under pressure. The container may explode if heated. Do not place in hot water or near radiators, stoves or other sources or heat.
Street Wise is not just THE most powerful BRAND of protection products….Street Wise is the most powerful state of mind! Be STREET WISE! Be Protected!

I’m Sadie, and as a woman I’d like to share my security secrets with you. Recently, an ex-boyfriend began stalking me. What amazes me, I haven’t been his girlfriend since 2001 and here it is 2009. He currently has a son by another woman and she, also, is stalking with their infant son in the car. Just plain weird.
They go through my mail box, they sit in front of my home starring at my home and my neighbors have called the police on them. I live in an upper middle class neighborhood, and the neighborhood watch is very good. Until this stint with the ex, we were a very quiet neighborhood.
Recently I found a website called: StunGunGal. She offers all types of non-lethal weapons and security items. My first purchase was a Mail Minder. Since I witnessed them going through my mailbox one afternoon. The “MAIL MINDER” is a mail box alarm and very easy to install. It is designed for a traditional mailbox. My mailbox is at the end of the driveway. I put the transmitter into the box and the receiver in the house. When my mail arrives, the receiver chimes and I get the mail right away. Now, when folks start poking around my box after I’ve retrieved the mail out of the box, I can go to my motion detector security cam and click a photo of the culprits.
The Mail Minder has been a great security item for me, and it runs on 2 AA batteries and 1 transmitter 23A 12V battery.
